Appointment as Assistant Liaison Officer (ALO) to General Mongkon Amphornpisit, Supreme Commander, Kingdom of Thailand, during his official visit to Sri Lanka in February 1999.

Sri Lanka Signal Corps - Regimental Colours

Awarded Regimental Colour's in 2006 for achievements displayed representing the Sri Lanka Signal Corps in Table Tennis, Cricket, Chess & Hockey in a career span of 34 years from 1985 to 2014. Instrumental in winning several individual and team championships for Regimental/Army/Defense Services/National level in Table Tennis, Chess & Hockey. He was the Sri Lanka Army Triple Champion in Table Tennis in 1986 and just before his retirement in 2011, under his captaincy Sri Lanka Army Table Tennis Team bagged the Inter Club Veteran's Team Championships, for the first time in the history of Army Table Tennis at a national ranking tournament held in 2011 eventually it became the highest achievement to his credit playing along side with his fellow team members Maj Heshan Bulunuwewa of Sri Lanka Ordnance Corps & Staff Sergeant S. Cooray of Sri Lanka Signal Corps.
