CSMP is accredited by Industry Qualifications (IQ) as Level 6 Organisation Diploma for Certified Security Management Professionals. It is also accredited by Skills for Security, the security skills and standards setting body for the UK, and reflects closely the National Occupational Standards for Security Management. The International Security Management Institute (ISMI®) is a global security management association connecting professionals. 

The Australian Computer Society is the professional association for Australia’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. The Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) is a common framework which allows an international understanding of what an ICT role actually involves and identifies the skills required. SFIA has been adopted by the ACS, as well as other professional societies and organisations. This provides a foundation for the professional grades, accreditation and programs of the ACS.
